A common shortcut in uniform manufacturing is grading up a base size. The chest gets wider, the waist gets wider, and everything else stays roughly the same. The result fits nobody well.
A plus-size body carries volume differently. The bust and hip need independent room. The armhole needs to be deeper without becoming a cape. The waist needs shape, not just width.

We build plus sizes from a separate block. The shoulder stays stable, the armhole drops, and the side seam gets a slight curve so the top does not hang like a box. Trouser rises are adjusted too, because a waistband that sits too low is uncomfortable all day.
Fabric choice matters more in larger sizes. A stiff fabric adds bulk. A fabric with a little stretch and good drape follows the body without clinging.
If your team includes plus-size staff, do not leave them to the end of the order. Measure them first, fit them first, and make sure the size chart reflects them honestly.
