Unisex uniforms are popular because they simplify stock. One style, one size range, fewer SKUs. But unisex does not fit every body the same way.
A unisex top usually has a straighter waist and a longer body. That works well for many male staff and for women who prefer a relaxed fit. It works less well for women who want shaping at the waist or a shorter length.

Trousers are the bigger issue. A unisex straight leg can fit hips and waist very differently across genders. If the team is mixed, we usually recommend separate trouser blocks even when the top is shared.
For a small clinic, one unisex range is often the practical choice. For a hospital with a large female workforce, a women's cut alongside unisex reduces complaints and exchanges.
Our advice is simple. Choose unisex for simplicity, but do not treat it as a universal fit. Offer one alternative where it matters most, usually the trouser.
