Fabric colour is never perfectly repeatable. Even with the same supplier and the same recipe, a new dye lot can sit slightly warmer or cooler than the last one.
When a new roll arrives, we compare it against the approved swatch under daylight and under indoor light. If the difference is visible, we do not start cutting.

We then give the client two honest options. Wait for a closer lot, or proceed with the new shade and keep the previous shade separate. What we do not do is mix the two shades inside one order.
For repeat orders, the colour card is the reference. If the new shade is acceptable, we update the card with the client's approval so future orders have a clear baseline.
A small shade shift is not a defect. Pretending it does not exist is. The conversation takes five minutes and prevents a much bigger one after delivery.
